California Trip Day 2

Today was our first Disney day! We bought 2-day park hopper passes with MaxPass at our hotel's Disney Desk and they worked out so well! With the MaxPass, we could get fast passes on our phones using the Disneyland App instead of walking to each ride to get a fast pass and then walking back to each ride when it was time to ride it. It saved so much time and walking! MaxPass also included all pictures taken at Disneyland for free! If you know me, you know I love buying pictures so this was the perfect thing for us! We got there bright and early so we could be in the park waiting when the ropes dropped. We only had 2 days total and I wanted to do everything on my list!

Riding the ART shuttle from our hotel right to Disneyland!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
The goat is an Ercanbrack family joke so Andrew wanted to film it and send it to his mom. ;)

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

One of the things on my list was to find Club 33 in New Orleans Square. We did!

Mid morning we stopped for breakfast at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe. They are famous for their Matterhorn Macaroon! So cute!

Andrew said he had to touch the ball spinning with water in Tomorrowland. ;)

We got the chance to meet Darth Vader, Chewbacca and Rey from Star Wars. Honestly, Darth Vader was kind of scary. I did not like it! Ha ha! But the rest were fun. :)

Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters
I always get a horrible score on this ride. I don't get it! Ha ha!

Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin

For lunch, we were close by Fantasyland and Andrew wanted to try a dessert at the Red Rose Taverne in Fastasyland called the Grey Stuff Gateau so we had lunch there too. Andrew had the Beast's Burger and I just had a cheeseburger both with pommes frites, but the Grey Stuff? Amazing!

White Chocolate Mousse and Red Velvet Cake with a Raspberry Center...so amazing!

"it's a small world"

Matterhorn

Park hopping to California Adventure later in the afternoon...Cars Land is modeled after Monument Valley in Utah. So neat!

Exploring Downtown Disney before calling it a night. It was a long, hot, feet-tiring day, but oh so fun!

Sprinkles Downtown Disney

Rainforest Cafe Downtown Disney

I smashed a penny and a quarter for my collection. This makes 14 Rainforest Cafe locations we have been to now. It's a good thing we went too because this location closed at the end of June to make way for a new hotel. Crazy!

  1. What a fun day. That's crazy you were lucky to cross one more Rain Forest Cafe off before they tore it down.
