Las Vegas Trip Day 3 & 4

Saturday, we spent the entire morning in the pools! We only got out around noon since we were hungry for lunch. ;) We decided to drive down to South Point Casino and have lunch at Steak 'n Shake!

Andrew loves South Point since that is where they stay when they go down for furniture Market with Nielsen's. He placed some futures bets while we were there and then, since they have a great movie theatre, we saw 47 Meters Down. :) It was intense, but good and we always love going to the movies!

Saturday night, we had dinner back at our hotel at Grand Lux Café. It's the sister restaurant of The Cheesecake Factory and just as good! Yum!

Sunday morning, we were ready to head back home, but we had one last stop to make in Las Vegas at Sprinkles Cupcakes! I even had a "frosting shot" while we waited for them to box up our cupcakes. It was so good!

There is an In-N-Out right next door to Sprinkles now!

My favorite are actually the mini cupcakes!

We had such a great weekend celebrating our anniversary! Eighteen years! It doesn't feel like its been that long and then looking back, you realize that it has. We have such a wonderful life and I feel so blessed. #18years #ithoughtilovedyouthen #somuchmorenow

Las Vegas Trip Day 2

Friday morning we got some pastries at a little café in our hotel and then decided to drive down the Strip and find the new Rainforest Café!

The Rainforest Café used to be at the MGM Grand, but has now moved to a new location next to Planet Hollywood. It's not attached to Planet Hollywood though so it took us a minute to find it!

It was fun to see and I smashed a penny to add to my collection. ;)

Next, we drove back up the Strip a little bit to Bally's to have lunch at our favorite Chicago pizza spot! Giordano's opened this location in Las Vegas not that long ago so we knew we wanted to stop. It didn't disappoint. :)

Once we got back to our hotel later that afternoon, we decided to wander around and see the gondolas and all the shopping!

Gondola ride outside, but it was way to hot for that!

Someday we would love to visit the original Carlo's Bakery in Hoboken, NJ, but this was super fun and delicious too!

Honolulu Cookie Company reminds us of being in Hawaii so it was fun to see it in Las Vegas now! The cookies are made fresh in Hawaii and flown in to Las Vegas every week in a refrigerated plane. :D I loved the pineapple lights inside and out and all the pineapple-shaped everything! We went a little crazy inside, but it was fun. :)

Las Vegas Trip Day 1

For our 18th anniversary this year, we decided that we wanted to go to Las Vegas! We left work a little early last Thursday, July 6 and headed down. It's about a 6 1/2 - 7 hour drive for us and it's not too bad honestly.

I have always wanted to stay at the Venetian in Las Vegas and Andrew made that happen this year! He even booked us a suite! I was so excited!

We had the full experience and valet parked too. ;)

Views from our room...

Between the Venetian and the Palazzo, there are 10 swimming pools! Most of them are all connected on the pool deck. Since it was 115 degrees while we were there, the pools felt amazing!
