Girls Trip 2015 - San Diego, CA Day 3 & 4

On Saturday, we had planned to go to the San Diego Zoo! I hadn't been to this zoo for about 11 years so I was excited to go with Savannah and see what was new!

Morning view from the balcony of our room. :) I loved that view!

The first thing we did at the zoo was take a guided bus tour. It took us all over most of the zoo and we saw a lot without having to walk it all!

Zebra again with a little gazelle of some sort. ;)

Polar Bear

More little gazelles of some sort.

Skyfari Aerial Tram, which we would ride later on. ;)

Baby Jaguar

One of them put on quite a show for us while we were there. ;)

A zebra and a donkey who are best friends. :)

After the guided bus tour, we rode the Skyfari Aerial Tram up to see some of the animals more up close. :)

Beautiful Hibiscus flowers growing all over. :)

Views from Skyfari Aerial Tram. :)

More little gazelle's of some kind. I thought the picture below was funny because the one was standing up using the tree to eat. ;)

Our first big stop was to see the polar bears and they did not disappoint! One especially was putting on quite a show!

This one was really enjoying some carrots!

Our next big stop was to see the pandas. There are only 4 zoos in the United States that have pandas so this was one of the exhibits we were most looking forward too!  It was also one of the pandas 3rd birthday celebration. Here are the birthday spoils. :)

Enjoying bamboo! ;)

Nap time for this panda. ;)

Momma hippo with her 5 month old baby hippo!

This peacock crossed right between Savannah and I. :)

We left the zoo about noon (when it got too hot anyway) and headed to Pandora! We wanted to buy a girl's trip charm to remember our trip by. :) This is the one we chose so now we both have it on our bracelets. Love it!

Then it was back to our hotel to change for the beach again.

We decided to go back to La Jolla Shores beach again because we had enjoyed it so much the day before. :) This time we had more time to spend there and it was fantastic!

We had Mexican food our last night in San Diego. It was really good too!

Sunday morning we flew back to SLC. What a wonderful trip! I enjoyed getting to spend some BFF time with Savannah and we both said how lucky we were to have husbands like ours that let us do a girls trip like this. :) #girlstrip2015

  1. looks like so much fun and I love how you change the background of your blog to match what you are blogging. I need to learn this trick

  2. San Diego is the best and sounds like you guys had a great time! I want to see all your pandora charms next time I see you. Sounds like you're starting to get quite the collection!

  3. #Girl'sTrip is a tradition we will have to continue each year!
