Road Trip Day 4 & 5 Dallas, TX - Denver, CO & Denver, CO - Home

We spent Saturday exploring the city of Dallas! Our first stop that morning was Reunion Tower!

360 degree views of Dallas!

View of the grassy knoll where JFK was assassinated.

After seeing the city from the GeO-Deck, we went up a level to Cloud Nine. A fun Reunion Tower dessert was offered, but since it was the 4th of July, we got a flag cookie and sat as we rotated around the city. It was a fun treat!

Our next stop was Spinkles Cupcakes!

Cupcake ATM and Spinkles Ice Cream. :)

Our rental car. :)

For lunch, we went to Steak 'n Shake! Andrew had been before in Las Vegas, but I never had. It was definitely yummy and to top it off, I had a Nutella shake. :) So good!

Next stop was Rainforest Cafe!

While at a mall getting a Texas charm for my Pandora bracelet, we discovered an ice skating rink inside!

Views of Hackberry Creek from our room.

Enjoying our Spinkles Cupcakes for dessert Saturday night before flying home on Sunday morning. :)

We have now been to 28 states, 10 Rainforest Cafe locations and 4 Sprinkles Cupcake locations!

Road Trip Day 3 Shreveport, LA - Crater of Diamonds State Park, AR - OK - Paris, TX & Dallas, TX

On Friday morning, we left Shreveport headed for Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas!

We got a picture of the Louisiana state sign when we hit Arkansas that morning. :)

Once there, we rented our equipment and got to work finding a diamond!

It poured while we were there! Luckily we were wet sifting in a structure with a roof! We still ended up pretty wet though. ;)

Even though we spent several hours looking, we didn't find a
diamond. :( Next time! ;)

On to Oklahoma!

We needed to make it back to Dallas that night so we just drove through Oklahoma on our way to Paris, TX!

Since we've seen the Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas, we had to see the one in Paris, TX! Someday I hope to make it to the actual Eiffel Tower in Paris, France!

We ate at an authentic Texas steak house for dinner Friday night in Dallas and had the best mac & cheese ever!
