Bahamas Cruise Vacation Day 3 - Great Stirrup Cay

Saturday we awoke just off the coast of Great Stirrup Cay! Great Stirrup Cay is Norwegian's private island in the Bahamas, but the water around the island is too shallow so we had to tender to the island. We didn't have an excursion booked in Great Stirrup Cay, we were just going to have a beach day so we had a leisurely breakfast and then tendered over to the island.

A lot of cruise lines have private islands in the Bahamas and from our tender we could see another cruise ship docked off the coast of their private island.

Pulling up to Great Stirrup Cay!

Looking at our cruise ship from the island.

We rented a clamshell sunshade for the day. That was really fun!

Views from our clamshell!

A little crab came to visit us!

We had a great day on the island swimming in the ocean and relaxing in our clamshell. Since it was a private island, Norwegian served a complimentary lunch also, which was really nice.

Returning to our ship on the tender we got some good pictures!

Tonight's towel animal was an elephant!
