Alaska Cruise Vacation Day 7 - Glacier Bay

Thursday was a day at sea, but in the morning our cruise ship had the opportunity to enter Glacier Bay National Park. Three park rangers came aboard our ship in the early morning hours just as we were entering the park. Then, throughout the whole rest of the morning, they gave us information about Glacier Bay National Park and the glaciers that we saw while in the park. In total we saw 3 different glaciers and the experience was really amazing. At one point, our ship stopped for an entire hour and made 360 degree turns so everyone on board could have a perfect view of the glaciers. Absolutely fantastic!

An iceberg floating in the water.

If you look closely, you can see a seal swimming along with our ship. :)

After leaving Glacier Bay National Park, we had a nice relaxing afternoon on board our ship. That evening, since it was a day at sea, we had reservations at the last specialty restaurant we wanted to try. We had also decided to do our own dress up night with everyone in our group. Josh & Savannah and Todd & Randi were going to get professional pictures taken before dinner and since Andrew and I had never done that on any of our other cruises, we decided it would be fun to try. We had our picture taken in front of the staircase in the Crystal Atrium and though they took several poses of us, this is the one I decided to buy.

The next evening when I went to look at the professional pictures, I saw this frame for sale in the photo gallery. As soon as Andrew saw me looking at it, he said he knew I was going to buy it. ;) I'm a sucker for picture frames and this frame was perfect for the picture I ended up buying. :)

Tonight's specialty restaurant was Cagney's Steakhouse. We were there for 2 1/2 hours eating and just enjoying the company of our friends. It was a great night!

The guys also wanted a silly picture. I still have no idea what was going on inside their heads, but it was pretty goofy to say the least! ;)

Tonight's towel animal was a mouse! How cute is that? :)
