Carribean Cruise Vacation Day 7 - Cozumel

Our last port of call was Cozumel. This is the second time Andrew and I have been to Cozumel, but the first time we were there we took a tender over to Playa del Carmen and went to the Mayan ruins of Tulum so we were excited to actually explore Cozumel. We had planned a fun excursion for just the 2 of us, which started with a taxi ride to a small resort where we boarded a powerboat for 2.

We were in a group of 5 boats including ours and with our guides we sped all over the ocean. It was so fun!

Excuse these videos. The sun was so bright I couldn't see what I was recording so it's all over the place!

Our guides then took us to a private beach called Hideaway Beach where we docked our boats and swam in the crystal clear, warm ocean. The water, which felt like bath water, was up to my waist, but I could see my feet on the bottom. It was so nice!

Hideaway Beach

After we left Hideaway Beach we cruised through the water for a while longer and then ended up back at the resort where we were fed an authentic Mexican lunch of chips with cheese and beans, different salsas and hot sauces and chicken fajitas and cheese quesadillas.

This flower is called a Spider Lily.

Cozumel turned out to be our favorite port of the cruise. We loved boating and swimming in the ocean. Our excursion was so relaxing and swimming in the ocean made it not feel so hot and humid. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

We have a disagreement about our towel animal tonight. I say that it's a lobster, but Andrew and my BIL Dale are saying it's a scorpion! It's open for interpretation so use your imagination. :)
