Patriotic Kits

These are the new Patriotic kits I just finished putting together from The Idea Closet. I usually only buy 1 or 2 kits to put together for each holiday or season, but these kits were just too cute to pass up so I did 4! They are the America Block Kit, Flag Block Kit, Round Firecrackers Kit and Square Firecrackers Kit and they were all so much fun to put together.

Here are some more reasons why craft nights are so much fun... :)

Emillio joins in. :)

Talking and laughing together.

Fun projects!

We spread out and make a mess!

Good Friends!

Roberts Craft Make-N-Takes

This past Saturday my cousin Savannah and I went to SLC for some shopping! This is something we do a lot and we really enjoy it. Our first stop (and one of the main reasons we wanted to go) was Roberts Craft in Sandy. They were having a Customer Appreciation Sale and were doing free Make-N-Takes! First we walked around and did some shopping. They had a 50% off coupon so we bought some more cake decorating supplies and then we did our crafts.

The bags can be cut out with the Cricut Tags, Bags, Boxes, & More Cartridge so now Savannah is looking into buying the cartridge for her Cricut. If she does, I'm going to be up at her house using it all the time!

The mini notebook was made using The Cinch to bind it together. This was a fun machine and another one I would love to own!

Both of these projects were so easy and fun to put together and would be fun for lots of events.

July Tuck Swap

Last Thursday night was tuck swap again! Our theme for July was Patriotic. The one I made is above and the one I came home with is below. I ended up with Angie's tuck and I was excited because Angie always has such cute stitching on her tucks!

I also look forward to tuck swap because Lewaina usually always has a fun craft to make or one she has already made for us. This month she made George Washington and Abraham Lincoln tucks for us. I got George Washington so I came home and stuffed it and am getting ready to put it out for July. Thanks Lewaina!

Good Things To Come

"Some blessings come soon, some come late and some don't come until heaven...but they come. It will be all right in the end. Believe in good things to come."

My new favorite quote. :)

Yard Sale

This past weekend my mom, brother (and his family), sister Heidi (and her family) and I planned a big yard sale at my house. Friday night everyone started arriving and we had dinner and played the Wii. My niece Jade, who is 4, wanted to "play punch with Grandma". It was the cutest and funniest thing I've ever seen. She even beat grandma!

Saturday was the yard sale and I can't believe I forgot to take a picture! I asked my family that was there if they had taken one, but I haven't seen anything yet (hint, hint if you have one!). We did really well at the yard sale though. We sold most of our stuff and made some money too. :) The rest went to the DI, but I did keep one box of stuff for another yard sale that we're planning in early fall.

My SIL Misty sent me some pics of Lincoln and Jade outside at the yard sale. I couldn't come up with any showing the actually sale, but I love any pics I get of my nephew and nieces!

It was really hot so the umbrella hat came in handy!

Lincoln fell and got a scrap on his cheek. Poor little guy!
You can tell from Jade's expression how bright it was outside! ;)

Happy 30th Birthday, Andrew!

Happy 30th Birthday to my wonderful husband. You are my best friend and I feel so lucky to be your wife. I love you so much!

Letters That Spell Kitchen

Last Friday Andrew and I went to the re-grand opening of a store we have in Roosevelt called Black Eyed Susan's. I love all the cute decor at this store, but mostly I just browse and end up only buying homemade fudge when I'm there! This time Andrew spotted this cute sign that was on display showing individual letters you could buy to make up your own word, but Andrew loved the display and asked if he could buy it. They let him buy the whole thing for only $1.00 more to include all the clothespins and line! I hung it up above my kitchen sink and I love it. :)

Jackson Hole/West Yellowstone Trip

A couple months ago Andrew's brother and SIL, Brandon and Kim, invited us and Andrew's parents to take a 3 day weekend trip to Jackson Hole and West Yellowstone. We made all the arrangements and last Thursday night we headed to SLC on the first leg of the trip. Friday morning we rented a Suburban so we could all ride together and headed to Jackson Hole. We did make several stops along the way though including the Gossner cheese factory in Logan for squeaky cheese!

We also stopped for pictures at all the state signs. :)

It was raining at this sign so we didn't get out for pictures!

When we arrived in Jackson Hole, we checked into the cabin we'd reserved for the night.

Then we headed just outside of Jackson to the Bar J Ranch. We were here to see the Bar J Wranglers in person and have their awesome Chuckwagon dinner.

Saturday morning we had some time to explore Jackson Hole and buy some souvenirs.

Then we headed into Yellowstone National Park.

We stopped to see Old Faithful erupt.

Then we drove around the park a little more and saw some buffalo really close up!

We then crossed over into Montana and ended up in West Yellowstone.

Again it was raining so we didn't get out of the car for a picture with the sign. :P

It had been raining off and on during our trip and luckily it hadn't spoiled any of our plans, but we did see a great rainbow!

We took old time photos in West Yellowstone.

Andrew made up his own pose that the photographer loved so she posed me around him. He's such a comedian!

Then saw The Foreigner at The Playmill Theatre.

After the play was over we drove to Rexburg, ID to spend the night.

Andrew loves to play the lottery so when we were in Idaho he made sure to buy some scratch cards. He ended up winning the amount of the check below. At least it probably paid for the amount he spent!

Sunday morning we got up and had the long drive home, but it was a great trip and it was fun spending some time together. :)
