Our Hawaiian Vacation-Day 3

Saturday, March 7
It had been a little rainy since we arrived in Hawaii, but we decided to stick to our plans. Hawaii rain is more like a mist anyway so it doesn't really bother you, my hair on the other hand hated the mist and humidity and I found out how much natural curl I really have! Anyway, we were headed to the Dole Plantation where pineapple is grown and sent all over the world. They have a train you can ride there that is called the Pineapple Express and they show you how the pineapple is grown and when you get off the train they have pineapple chunks on toothpicks for everyone to sample. Fresh pineapple is a lot sweeter in my opinion and so delicious! Andrew wasn't a pineapple fan before we went, but even he enjoyed the fresh pineapple there!! After that we were off to the North Shore where waves can get up to 30 feet tall and is a surfer's dream. The sand is also different there than on Waikiki, it's much grainier and darker.
