Merry Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas, were very spoiled and also enjoyed some time off together.

My parents gave us a cruise for Christmas!
Andrew and I, along with my parents and all my siblings and their spouses, are going to Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, Isla Roatan (an island off the coast of Honduras), Belize and Cozumel, Mexico leaving from Miami, FL this July!

My big gift was a Coach bag with matching wallet!

Andrew's big gift was a 32 GB iPod touch. I also got one, but with much less memory!

The Wedding

My sister Leisa got married on December 19, 2009 to Dale Smith in the Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple. I don't have all the pictures from the wedding yet so more is to come. ;) Congratulations Dale and Leisa!

Here's my nephew Lincoln and niece Jade in the waiting room at the temple. So cute!

Here is Dale and Leisa as they are coming out of the temple for pictures. Leisa was smiling the whole day!

Here I am trying to keep my niece Kinley warm out in the cold!

Sibling shot of the 4 of us. Hopefully a better pic will be coming!

Our Christmas Tree 2009

The before shot...

This year I decided to update my Christmas tree decorations and do a primitive tree.

I found these very prim silicone dipped lights on a blog I follow. I chose the color I wanted (Barn Red) and then coffee grinds were added to the colored silicone before the lights were dipped for that very primitive look! I also got some cute garland at The Quilted Bear and a punched tin star online. Andrew pushed a strand of 20 white Christmas lights into the star so it would light up on the top of the tree. I also got some new ornaments in red, green and brown with some different finishes in matte, shiny and glitter. We also put on our favorite ornaments with special meaning to us.

...and yes, the tree is leaning a bit. That punched tin star is heavy! :)

The Lights On Temple Square

Last weekend Andrew and I went to SLC to finish our Christmas shopping. We were staying overnight in a hotel downtown so we were able to see the lights on Temple Square. We haven't been to see them in a few years and they are so pretty and really add to my Christmas spirit.

On our way home the trees were covered in snow and it looked like the scene on the front of a holiday card.

We arrived home to about a foot of new snow and several very long icicles!

Christmas Cards 2009

Most every year Andrew and I send out Christmas cards. Usually they're just a cute card that I've found and we write our names inside, but this year we tried a photo card because a friend of mine in the blogging world had a code for 50 free photo cards through the website Today I got them all addressed and ready to go.

I have a set of Christmas stamps that I always stamp on my card envelopes to make them more festive.

Merry Christmas from our home to yours!
